Giving 5 stars because my daughter’s team of doctors is phenomenal. Everyone we’ve encountered at UT Health has been amazing. I always use the valet service when we have to go to the Medical Center because it’s much easier, and the price at UT Health is reasonable—up to six hours is only $12. The valet line can back up a bit onto Main Street, but it moves quickly. They truly have the process down to an art. We see a lot of specialists throughout the Medical Center at different hospitals, and UT Health is by far the easiest facility to navigate. The only department that doesn’t earn 5 stars from me is billing. I recently tried to pay a bill that arrived as a final notice, even though I never received the first two statements. When I logged into MyChart—and when my daughter logged into hers as well—both accounts showed a zero balance. Her doctor’s office also confirmed that there was no outstanding balance on their end. When I called the billing department, they verified my information but discovered that my last name was incorrect in their system. (Though from what I could see in MyChart this incorrect last name was no where to be found). When I asked the representative to correct it, she told me she couldn’t because my account had been separated from my daughter’s when she turned 18 and that the bill had already been sent to collections. I then asked why a last name I haven’t used in 18 years, have no government-issued IDs associated with, and have never used at UT Health, was on my account. The representative insisted that I had completed paperwork using that name. I’m not sure how that would be possible since we’ve only been patients at UT Health for the past two years, and I have no current documentation under that name. My best guess is that the name may have been carried over from old records in MyChart through UTMB when my daughter had surgery there at 14 months old. However, the representative continued to insist that I was mistaken and that the paperwork I completed was much more recent. I asked her to send me a copy of the documentation she referenced, but I never received it. Overall, the hospital and medical staff are wonderful, and we have had excellent experiences with our daughter’s care. Unfortunately, the billing department needs improvement, particularly when it comes to account accuracy and customer service.
I had a great experience at UT Physicans. Dr Asha has been my OB for about 2 years now. She is extremely thorough & diligent in her analysis and does not brush off any concerns or questions you may have. She walks through all possible options & helps you make an informed decision. I trust & deeply respect her opinion. The nurse staff is also awesome. They are very prompt in respodning to any messages you leave via the MyChart app. Extremely pleased with finding a good Dr & staff.
Went for my first visit for reconstructive surgery. Was nervous but was put an ease quickly after speaking withDr. D. Hopkins. I feel like he listened to me and understood my wishes. I felt good walking out of the office like I had a plan now. Addendum. I’ve had my initial surgery which went very well and 4 subsequent visits. The staff and Dr are excellent. I’d recommend Dr Hopkins anytime.
I had a great experience at UT Physicians. The staff was very friendly. I was surprised at how fast I was seen. I took a half day off of work and was able to get back with no problem. The nurse was personable and took time to explain exactly what she needed me to do. I highly recommend Dr. ADEKOREWALE ODULATE-WILLIAMS. He was knowledgeable and did a great job of explaining my problem and my options. He was friendly and empathetic as well as a good listener. He patiently answered all questions I had. He made me very comfortable during my exam.
Dr David Hopkins took great care of me after my terrible roll over wreck. I had two very mangled fingers and he fixed them. He seems very cheerful and makes you feel better knowing he's going to take care of you. The whole experience at the hospital was very nice, considering I had to be there at all.
