As much as I do not like the term "hidden gem" - why does no one talk about this place! By far one of the most beautiful spots in O'ahu with all the stores you expect and more! With fire torches, rocking chairs, little ponds and plenty of seating it's the perfect place to wind down. There's even a top floor known as the Grand Lanai where you can find the world famous Liliha Bakery and more! You can even catch a stunning full-length free luau! It really is a perfect place and its designed so lovingly to carry the charm of Hawai'i!

The International Market Place is one of my favorite destinations in Waikiki. The stylish, modern atmosphere makes it a wonderful place to explore, and simply walking around the beautifully designed open-air shopping center is a fun experience. With its elegant architecture, tropical landscaping, and lively yet relaxing Hawaiian vibe, every visit feels enjoyable. One of the reasons I kept returning during my stay was because my favorite Malie Organics store is located here. I absolutely love their fragrances and products, so it was a treat to stop by multiple times. It was also lovely to see an Easter event being held for children during my visit, which created a cheerful and family-friendly environment. The center offered not only shopping but also entertainment and seasonal activities. Having Target inside was incredibly convenient for purchasing daily necessities and travel essentials. In addition, I was happy to be able to take a relaxing break at the Rakuten Lounge, which provided a comfortable space to rest during shopping. International Market Place perfectly combines luxury, convenience, and entertainment. Whether shopping, relaxing, or simply strolling, it’s a place I always look forward to visiting whenever I’m in Waikiki.

What a lovely place in Waikiki. The entire atmosphere at the International Market Place feels magical. I's not just a shopping center, it's an experience. The open-air layout, the gorgeous landscaping, and especially the massive historic banyan tree in the middle, "Don's Treehouse," make it feel lush and peaceful. I loved how the marketplace blends modern luxury with island beauty. There's such a fun mix of shops too from designer boutiques to local Hawaii favorites, souvenir spots, beauty stores, and little places to grab snacks or coffee. It doesn't feel like a sterile or a typical mall because the greenery and architecture make everything feel relaxed and inviting. There are also so many good food options throughout the marketplace. The International Market Place's tenants include approximately 90 stores and 10 restaurants. If you're visiting Waikiki, this place is absolutely worth stopping by, even if you're not planning to shop. Come for the atmosphere, the trees, the people watching, and the overall vibe. It's one of the prettiest shopping centers I've ever visited.

The International Market Place in Waikiki is a popular open‑air shopping and dining destination known for its tropical landscaping, modern Hawaiian‑inspired design, and iconic century‑old banyan tree. Located at 2330 Kalākaua Avenue, offering a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere. The center is open daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and is easily accessible by bus or the Waikiki Trolley. Its appeal comes from the blend of luxury boutiques, local specialty shops, and cultural experiences. Visitors can enjoy free entertainment such as hula shows and live performances, along with scenic walkways that highlight Hawaiian heritage. With over 70 retailers, including both global brands and local artisan, the marketplace provides a diverse shopping experience suited to different tastes. Dining is another major draw, featuring a wide range of restaurants such as Buho Cocina y Cantina and other international and island‑inspired options. The center also offers practical amenities like complimentary WiFi, accessible pathways, comfortable seating areas, and convenient parking via Kūhiō Avenue near Saks Fifth Avenue.

This place is absolutely amazing. The architecture is superb mixing good ol American building concepts with the local Hawaiian culture. Walk for hours around this complex with shopping to suit everyone. Water features run the entire length of the mall which adds a bit of calmness to the sometimes busy area. The lighting at night is worth a visit and don’t forget to get your photos taken by the Waikiki sign on the top level.
