The customer service here is 5 star! I have bought 2 battery powered chain saws here and they’re exactly what I wanted! Within the last 2 months, I bought a Craftsman 1900 pressure washer and it’s light weight, easy to handle and it’s easy to operate! Having used it twice, I began to question if the attachment that sprays soap was doing its job. I went back to this store and was told to bring it by yesterday(Friday) and Nocolai would be glad to check it. He unloaded it from my truck, hooked up the water and power to check it out! What a nice young man! It was hot and he never complained. The soap attachment works, he put it back in my truck and that’s 5 star customer service! I’m a 77 year old retired teacher and I love shopping here because the team takes the time to truly help customers! Huge thanks👏👏👏
I like having an Ace close to the house. Most of the time I'm going for some fasteners. They have most anything you need and helpful advice. It's the outside that really needs work and the owner seems to ignore it! 1) Not real clean... lots of trash on the ground. 2) Please trim back bushes so I can walk between my car and the brick wall. 3) The 2 curbs that line the entryway are a real pain. If they just ripped them out they could evaluate having more car space or at least make it easier for customers to get in and out. 4) Figure out a way to add a rear entrance for customers. 5) Stop playing country Western music with lyrics that are not family friendly.
I love Ace Hardware, I just do. its always fun to go there because well it's a gardener's/tool nut's paradise but also a melting pot of people with common interests go to shop and now it is a place where a teen named Conner helped me sort through the key indentifer thingies to get the right ones. He was personable, kind and a true delight for the 10ish minutes we spent together. Even though he is a child Not once did he act childish or come across like he was too good to do his job helping a customer. It's rare to find an adult who behaves this way let alone a teenager! I hope he makes more than the ridiculous SC min wage of $7.25 and his parents are proud of him.
I try to support small and locally owned businesses instead of going to bigger stores, but this place is owned by a franchised ripoff artist. They send out coupons to attract customers, but when you go to use the coupon, they tell you caveats that ARE NOT listed on their own coupons. I got propane refills that are listed as $9.99 for a refill. I refilled a couple of tanks trying to contribute to local businesses, but when I went to pay, I got charged $40 more than their advertised price. When I inquired with the employee AND the manager, I was told that the coupon wouldn't be accepted because even though it was a valid unexpired coupon, it's technically for a different ACE hardware, but the coupon that THEIR COMPANY sent out DID NOT state that it couldn't be used at specific ACE Hardware locations. These people refused to honor their own coupons from their own parent company even after a customer inquired and explained the situation that their company created. I will never shop here again, I will spread the word about the despicable business practices, and I hope that anyone on here reads this review and doesn't get subjected to their backhanded two-faced selling schemes. The customer is always wrong and they simply want to dig into your wallet instead of create repeat customers. AVOID THIS BUSINESS, SHOP ELSEWHERE!!!!!!
A nice store conveniently located. I prefer ace to many other larger hardware stores. The parking lot of this one is not great, and front spots can be tricky to get out of with a steady flow of incoming traffic. Some of the items I regularly buy at ace were double or slightly double the price that I am used to paying at this store. The selection seems to vary from location to location.
