This particular courtyard is my favorite one to date. I’ve stayed at The Ritz Carlton in Maui & Marriott properties in Japan & other U.S states! I’ve also stayed in lower level hotels. So the point is, I know great & not so great hotels. This one is amazing, beautiful, clean & in a great location!. The staff is super nice, approachable & they make sure you’re taken care of. My favorite bartender is Ali. She’s the best & if you’re there just past closing time, she’ll still take care of you. My only complaint is the morning baristas, they are the opposite of Ali. Even though I tipped really well, they were like tough luck on getting an extra coffee. Still this place gets a 5 star review. 1 or 2 people doesn’t represent the rest of the staff & company. Anytime I come up for a weekend/ quick visit, this is my permanent spot. Highly recommend this place!
We had a great stay at Courtyard by Marriott Greenville Downtown! The location is perfect, right in the heart of downtown and walkable to so many great restaurants and shops. The hotel was very clean, modern, and well-maintained, and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. Overall, it was a great value for the location and quality. We would definitely stay here again!
Great location. Restaurant/ bar Staff is attentive. Rooms are unexceptionable. List of problems is long: Mold in the bathroom. Blinking red lights on phone the front desk cannot attend to or turn off. No room service when requested after staying multiple nights. Issues in room with stains, water and hair not addressed and left us feeling like we had an unclean room and management that didn’t care.
I was deciding between staying at The Loft and the Courtyard. I was interested in trying The Loft since I had never stayed with that Marriott brand before. However, I ultimately chose the Courtyard because it was $20 per night cheaper. At checkout, I was surprised to discover that I was being charged an additional $20 per night for parking. This fee was not disclosed at check-in, and as a Lifetime Gold member with 476 stays at Marriott, I have never before been charged for parking. While the parking charge may technically be mentioned, it appears only in small print on a page you have to click through to view, making it very easy to miss. I have file a report with the FTC report number 196863576.
Dear management of courtyard, Greenville, I had a great stay on Saturday, July 5 and had breakfast Sunday morning and had the best customer service from the gentleman named George in the restaurant. He was friendly and kind and exemplified great customer service with his friendly smile and welcoming attitude. The rooms were quiet and comfortable and I throughly enjoyed my stay. Definitely will return to this hotel. Great experience.
