Hotel Ernest was the perfect place to stay for our weekend getaway in Bendigo. It’s boutique, beautiful and filled with art and charm. Our suite was spacious, very tastefully decorated, a private balcony, and had beautiful natural light with a view out to Rosalind Gardens. Martin and the team made our stay special with amazing service, excellent recommendations on local food and activities, plus a tour with the history of hotel. I especially loved the vibe in the wine cellar bar. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in Bendigo!
I had the most stunning one night stay at Hotel Ernest. I booked a room very last minute as a family member was in hospital. My sister was also staying here and Martin arranged it so we were next door to each other. So kind, generous and welcoming. The restaurant downstairs Terrae was fully booked for the evening however Martin texted his favorite local recommendations. Amazing!! After a really long day, my sister and I spent the late evening on the sofa in our pj’s surrounded by fabulously high ceilings, great lighting & art, solving the world’s problems. Thank you so much - we cannot wait to come back - I just loved it.
Martin was very attentive and gracious as a host at this beautiful property. Rooms are large with good facilities. It was right in the heart of Bendigo so perfect location for us. Would definitely stay here again.
Overnighted here with work, no complaints whatsoever. Suite 3 was perfectly fine for what I needed and the service was amazing. A cocktail and some chicken skins in the hotel reception area went down a treat! Super comfortable bed and well appointed amenities. Thank you Martin!
We’ve just enjoyed our second stay at Hotel Ernest and it was every bit as lovely as the first. The rooms are beautifully designed — understated, elegant and incredibly comfortable — with thoughtful details that make the whole experience feel calm and considered. The location is excellent, and the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between boutique charm and genuine comfort. Our only regret this time was not getting to try the restaurant — we’ll definitely be making that a priority on our next visit.
