Jay was excellent and helped educate us on what to look out for with our old unit and the various signs of when we might need to consider a new one. Topped off with refrigerant and we will definitely be calling Air Essentials Inc as our go-to company for AC needs. Prices were very reasonable. Response time was same day service. Very pleased!

Update: Our system continues to fail repeatedly. Today on January 20th, 2026 our heat won't turn on. Contacted Air Essentials with no response. We hired Air Essentials in August 2025 to install a brand-new Trane HVAC system in our home, and it has been nothing but problems ever since. We went with this company only because they were available to install on a Sunday during a heatwave when our old system had completely failed. Unfortunately, we regret that decision. They only arrived around 11 a.m. and didn’t finish until nearly 1 a.m. the next morning, working in the dark with flashlights. The owner only had two workers, and the attic was hot by the time they started, so much of the work was done under rushed and uncomfortable conditions without an opportunity to take turns between crews. The owner even admitted he arrived late because he “couldn’t wake up his guys.” They required full payment that same day by certified check before leaving. That morning, the system failed — the air conditioner would not stop running and brought the temperature down to the 60s overnight. When we reported it, the owner told us to “schedule an appointment,” despite the system being brand new. Only after insisting did he return and spend several hours fixing it, saying there was an issue with the wiring. The very next night, it failed again — this time the system would not turn on at all after the thermostats were sending a clear signal to the system (click). Once again, multiple hours were spent troubleshooting, and the problem was traced to the wrongful wiring. A few weeks later, we discovered standing water in the drain pan under the unit. The system was leaking. That required yet another service visit. Then we noticed significant cold air blowing in the attic while the AC was running — meaning air was leaking from somewhere in the ducts. When the owner finally came back, (after yet another attempt to brush us off)he admitted that some joints were not taped correctly and spent several hours re-taping connections. Even then, there was confusion about one of the PVC pipes — whether it was supposed to be capped or open. The owner capped it, then uncapped it after we questioned him, saying he wasn’t sure which way it should be. To this day, we still don’t know if it’s in the correct configuration or if this could affect the system’s long-term performance. The owner admitted he is not Trane certified. In total, within two months we’ve had five service visits (including install) for a brand-new system — each one taking several hours and requiring us to take time off work. The installation caused visible damage to the attic access panel, which now needs repainting, and the attic was left dirty after the first installation. This has been an exhausting and costly experience. For anyone considering Air Essentials, we strongly recommend researching carefully and ensuring proper documentation of all work. Based on our experience, we would not hire this company again. It has been a complete nightmare to us.

We’ve been using Air Essentials since we moved into our home in 2022. Jay is very hardworking, knowledgeable, honest, and fair. Patricia is excellent with communication and scheduling. If you want reliable, consistent, and quality service from a local business, then you should go with Air Essentials.

Air Essentials was above amazing today when our A/C unit was not working. Patricia answered the phone at 5p on a Saturday and Jay was here within 45 minutes to make the repair. Highly recommend them as have been using them since 2007!!
