Last 17 of April 2026 when after cleaning the car which is the 2019 Subaru XV. We brought it to the service centre, a while later when the service was done. I saw the bumper paint was peeled off and there was a lot of white powder in the interior like it was not like before, the inside was cleaned by my son and the bumper was in good condition. They said rock chips, but I told to them it looks like somebody peeled off the paint. I tell them to check the footage and they did not even email me a single footage in a week. I was thinking for next year to book the other service centre because this buckby service centre has no responsibility to do it properly and taking care of, we can't trust this service centre anymore.

Extremely poor communication from this dealership and service centre. We constantly had to chase updates ourselves and were rarely given clear or honest information about our vehicle-even after being told that parts had already arrived. At one point, my partner was forced to sit at the service centre from 8am until 5pm just for them to “diagnose” the issue, only to be told at the end of the day that the car needed to stay for further repairs anyway. She had to miss work, and we live an hour away from Launceston-so this level of inefficiency is completely unacceptable. We only just got our car back last week after an entire month of repairs. In reality, we have not been able to properly use this vehicle since December 15, 2025. And unbelievably, after all that time, the problem still isn’t fixed-the fuel injectors are still leaking. That is beyond incompetent. The entire experience has been frustrating, exhausting, and frankly disrespectful. You had the car for weeks and still returned it in an unsafe, unresolved condition. That shows a serious lack of care, accountability, and basic professionalism. If this is the level of communication and workmanship you provide, then you seriously need to question whether you should be operating a service centre at all. At this point, you might as well just close the business. UPDATE: Hi, Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, your public reply contains several misleading statements that do not reflect what actually occurred. While my partner is the registered owner and primary driver of the vehicle, I was the person who managed the entire repair process. I have the email trail to prove that I was the one constantly chasing your team for updates. If your records show “regular contact,” I encourage anyone reviewing this to look at the communication history. I repeatedly had to follow up myself, and eventually had to CC multiple members of your office just to receive a response. You also mention that a loan vehicle was provided. While that is technically true, it fails to mention that the vehicle provided was an old van with a large crack across the windscreen. Simply providing any vehicle does not excuse the months of delays, poor communication, and inconvenience we experienced. The most concerning part of your response is the suggestion that the matter was resolved. It wasn’t. After months of waiting for your workshop to repair our vehicle, it was returned to us still leaking diesel. We had completely lost confidence in Buckby Motors and asked our insurer (WE BEGGED) not to send the vehicle back to your workshop. Instead, the vehicle was ultimately taken to another workshop after we lost confidence in Buckby Motors. They were professional, transparent, and correctly diagnosed and repaired the issue. So, no-the problem was not resolved by Buckby Motors. After months in your workshop, the vehicle was still leaking diesel. It was only resolved because another workshop repaired it properly. My review is an honest account of my experience. I have emails, invoices, and documentation to support everything I’ve stated, and I stand by my review.

How long does it take to wash an MG4? I left Burnie at 6:00 am, had to stop to recharge but arrived at Buckby’s Launceston around 8:20 am. When dropping the car off I was asked what time I needed it back, I explained I had travelled a long way, and we agreed on 2:00 pm. I returned at 2:30 pm and was told my vehicle was “being washed” and asked whether I wanted it cleaned. I said yes, assuming it was nearly finished, and was asked to take a seat, they would let me know when it was ready. 90 minutes later I had to approach the desk myself to ask if I’d been forgotten. The same staff member appeared not to remember our conversation, asked for my details again, and said I wasn’t speaking to the right person. When I finally found the correct person, I was told the car had just been washed and was ready. I asked to make a formal complaint but was only given a piece of paper saying I would be contacted later for feedback. Delays happen that’s understandable. What isn’t acceptable is poor communication and lying to customers about what is happening with their vehicle. A simple update would have avoided a lot of frustration. Because of the delay, a friend travelling with me had to take a taxi to collect an order before 4 pm and arrived at work in Burnie 40 minutes late. This experience showed very little consideration for customers’ time. I don’t know what Buckby’s need to do to make things right, but I suggest they get onto it soon. It takes this workshop 90 minutes to wash an MG4.

The young man in the Service Centre assisting with windscreen wipers today showed exemplary service and courtesy. Buckby Motors you should be so so proud to have him on your staff. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name but I did see it on my invoice and it was maybe Gabriel? But anyway he was the only male in the desk and 👏👏👏👏👏👏 to him.
