We discovered a serious termite infestation behind our home’s stucco and received several consultations before choosing Ken. He was by far the most knowledgeable, quickly identifying the termite species, explaining what was attracting them, and recommending the best solution. Ken was honest, straightforward, and never tried to upsell us. He was easy to work with and even coordinated with our contractor to help resolve the issue properly. I highly recommend him!

I highly recommend Ken, the owner of Bug Pest Control. My parents first used him back in 2013 for termite treatment, and when I had signs of termites in 2014, they immediately referred me to him. Recently, I suspected termite activity again and contacted a few companies for second opinions and quotes. Ken stood out as the most knowledgeable by far. He clearly explained the different types of termites, how they work, and the best treatment options without any pressure. What really impressed me was his honesty. I asked him to check an area in my mom's home, and he told me he didn't think treatment was necessary rather than trying to upsell me. That kind of integrity is rare. He also helped us with a pre-construction termite treatment for a new garage build and treated a couple of my mom's rental properties for dry wood termites, so we've seen his work across multiple situations. Every time, he's been thorough, reliable, and professional. On top of that his pricing is very reasonable- and he even arranged to come out the next morning and get the job done. Ken combines expertise, honestly and great service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone dealing with termites or pest control needs.

Ken at Bug State was incredibly helpful. I had potential new termite damage and called 3 companies to come out to assess the damage and give quotes. Ken was, by far, the most honest, helpful and informative. He also spent the most time inspecting the damage and talking me through it. He said it could go either way, but that based on the type of termite, we might want to watch and wait rather than tent everything immediately, which saved nearly $5,000. He was also honest about what we could do ourselves, v what a professional needed to do. He told me what to look for in the future, gave tips on what to do to termite-proof the house as much as we can, and made a life-long customer. I'll be sharing his info with friends and family. Can't recommend highly enough! Note: As a woman, I have varying results when men come out to give quotes. Ken was fantastic. He was also very nice to the painters who were working here.

Ken is very knowledgeable about termite treatment/prevention/detection. I contacted several termite inspectors for quotes; Ken is the only one who actually went inside my house and did moisture reading off the drywall. Other inspectors just simply walked around the house and gave me quotes. Ken pinpointed the location of possible termite activity, and he got it right! Other inspectors missed it, but Ken caught the issue. I’m very happy that I hired Ken for his service. Ken is professional, patient, and in good understanding of the homeowner’s concerns. His service is excellent. I recommend him to anyone who is looking for pest/termite control.

I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. Ken was extremely knowledgeable and took his time to explain everything to me. He was patient as I asked a ton of questions. I have an existing contract with a large company but they wanted to charge me over 4k for treatments, special insulation, etc. so I reached out to Bug State on a recommendation. Bug State saved me from spending $4300 and getting an unnecessary treatment. Ken could have sold me on a lot of work and I wouldn't have known any better but he was honest, gave me real information and never pressured me. I highly recommend them for any pest services. While I still have that contract with the big company, I will be calling Bug State for all future work. Integrity is something that is hard to find these days but it seems to be a cornerstone of how they do business. Cannot recommend this company enough.
