We had a large beautiful willow tree that unfortunately needed removal and quickly. An arborist from Rent a Monkey assessed the situation and gave us a fair estimate. Once I approved the estimate via email and made the payment arrangements we were scheduled for service the next day. I was given a 5 hour window from start to finish for the removal. The arborist and technicians were completely done in just under 3 hours. We live on a very busy road so safety was of the utmost importance. They did an amazing job with containment and clean up. My family was so sad to see our tree go but Rent a Monkey was able to make the process seamless. Thank you!
We were very Levi and his team. They did a great job cutting down that trees that we needed removed. The job was done much faster than we had originally expected. After the job was done Levi and his team did a great job cleaning up the areas of our property where they were working. We would definitely recommend Rent A Monkey Tree service as a full service tree removal company.
I think the one thing many service providers forget is the experience begins the moment your employee arrives for an estimate, Not only once a service is completed. I had an appointment for an estimate scheduled Monday June 16. Zach was on time and I received a text message informing me he was on the way. From there it seemed for me at least to go downhill. I showed him the trees and ask for an estimate on uncut wood for firewood that was left from the winter. He told me they didn’t really do that. Hmmm funny you have a whole page on your website extolling the virtues of cutting my firewood. I included a picture of the wood bc the estimate was $795. I could almost get two cords of wood cut and stacked for that. But ok. However the final insult came when he told me that I would “need permission” from my neighbor to cut her trees off my property. Not we would like you to inform your neighbor we will be trimming their trees. He said this no less than 6 times and explained that they don’t want to get caught in a situation that might give the company a bad review. So…do I need a permission slip that is signed? Do you provide the template on your website of said permission slip? Does it need to be signed by both husband and wife? Exactly what does this “permission” entail? Then as he was leaving he asked for my email so he could send me a write up of this estimate by EOB. I wrote my email on the sheet as you can see in the pictures. And as he was headed to his truck I asked one last question. If I talk to my neighbor and she has questions can she call him? “Aabbbsoolutley” in the most patronizing, sarcastic, and condescending tone. No surprise that at EOB I received no email. So I waited through the weekend till today. Today I received a text message asking if I had any questions. I have a ton of questions. I said in the text message to please have someone call me and that I was still waiting for the email from Zach. I don’t know who Zach is in the company, he drove one of your trucks with your logos on it. And he felt comfortable and confident enough to throw away a $3400(?) estimate by not providing the contract or keeping his word. He also felt comfortable and confident enough to patronize and “man splain” about permission from my neighbors for trees on my property. How stupid do you think I am? I run a small business. A service sector business. If one of my employees treated a customer like Zach treated me and threw away potential business they would be fired. I do not possess the awards you do, or spent money on advertising and mailers. This was the medium that lead me to your website. But I do know only one in 30 will openly complain so I ask you how many times do you think he has blown off potential customers believing a review is only completed with a complete service? This was indeed a self fulfilling prophecy. I wouldn’t have called you if I wanted my neighbor’s trees hacked up. I needed trees cut before a landscaping project began on my property and the fully mature trees in that design were planted in my yard. I’m sorry this was my experience. I really am. I’m sorry your employee does not value your hard work, time, and effort that you have clearly put into your expanding company. And I’m sorry that I cannot accept a bid I never received nor am I going to ask permission to do work on my property. Good luck with your business model.
