As I was staying at Penny Royal Hotel (review coming soon) it made sense to stop in at Kings Bridge Bar for a meal and drink. Fortunately for me it was their Burger with free schooner Thursday night deal......done! The meal deal was $30 and with the burger (which was a BBQ sauce smash burger) and schooner was a side of chips. They were nice and crispy and the burger was ok but all of it was quite filling. Great setting inside with a relaxed atmosphere. On this occassion the place wasn't overly busy so the meal didn't take too long to reach me. The staff were very friendly and eager to serve. What I really loved was the style of the windows, they looked great.
A charming, old-school pub with a genuinely warm and cosy atmosphere. The food was fresh, wholesome, and beautifully generous in portion. The staff were attentive, accommodating, and they went out of their way to cater to my dietary requirements without any additional charge for it. The venue offers both a lively pub space and a more refined restaurant area, making it perfect for any occasion.
Our dinner at Kings Bridge bar and restaurant was a highlight of our Tassie trip. My mother and I shared the seafood platter as we are not big eaters and found it was plenty of food for us. We both commented it was the nicest seafood platter we have ever had. Everything was delicious and the hot food was all beautifully hot. The salad was dressed in a very tasty house made dressing. The salmon was beautiful. We did wait a while for the food to arrive but it was a very busy evening and we did not have a reservation and they squeezed us in. Well worth waiting for and highly recommend.
Well I think this cozy little spot was one of the best parts of our holiday to Tassie! We ordered the Scotch Fillet, Oysters Kilpatrick and the nachos… was definitely worth the wait!! The food was amazing, portion sizes were great and the wait staff were super friendly! Will definitely be coming back on our next trip :)
This historic building hides a gem. Just out of the Launceston CBD the Kings Bridge Bar serves up some amazing food and drinks with friendly down to earth service. Good wine list, beers on tap, cocktails. Indoor and great outdoor seating. Worth a look!
