I honestly cannot recommend Mad Apple Café enough. I organised a birthday surprise for my mum today over the phone from interstate, and the team went completely above and beyond to make her day so special. They surprised her with the most beautiful giant muffin “cake” with gourmet raspberries and white chocolate, topped with a candle, let me pay for it over the phone, and even put the effort in to sing her happy birthday while bringing it out - I didn’t even ask for this, they did it of their own accord, which was just so super sweet. They also created a personalised birthday sign to welcome her to the table, which was such a thoughtful touch. My mum, her partner, and my grandma were all so touched by the effort. The food itself looked absolutely incredible. From the photos I saw and what they told me, everything was beautifully presented and genuinely delicious. What really stood out was the level of customer service. The staff put in so much care and effort, and it truly meant the world to me being able to organise something so special from afar. As an interior designer, I also chose this café because of the space, I’ve been there in person before and it does not disappoint. The interior is stunning, warm, earthy, and beautifully designed with timber and organic elements. It creates such a lovely atmosphere. I would say this is the best café in Launceston by miles, all round. 10/10 for food, interior design and customer service. I’m so grateful to the team for making my mum feel so celebrated. One of my new favorite restaurants with fantastic vegan options! All day big breakfast had the most incredible hashbrowns with amazing, filling vegan breakfast food (beans, tofu scrambles, fresh avocado, seasoned spinach, etc) on a perfectly toasted sourdough. PB slice was the best dessert, & they even had vegan hot chocolate options! Great options for my non-veg friend, too. She said it was her favorite breakfast, as well!
The best breakfast in Launceston! We had breakfast here two mornings in a row during a recent trip to Tasmania, indulging in the smashed avo, big breakfast, granola. All were fabulous. Service was friendly and prompt. Highly recommended.
Absolutely loved this place as our first meal in Tassie after flying into Launceston. Food was incredibly tasty (kimchi melt and bounty bowl), the setting is cute and the service was unbelievably friendly./ Trying to re-work our plans so we can get back there!
Tried here for the first time last week and they nailed mum's coffee first time. This time, the guy even remembered us and said "I've made a note of it, the Rosie Coffee!" Brilliant customer service. Last week had the roasted cauliflower... that was very tasty, great texture, the flavours were amazing, huge serving, and very filling. Recommend. Today I had the pumpkin pesto gnocchi (without the goats cheese). Generous serving and very filling, very delicious. Recommend. At our table others had chips and aioli... big bowl, great seasoning, and the fried rice, very generous serving, delicious. Inside there is lots of room, plenty of space between tables to park walking aids, or prams etc. plenty of tables for different size groups. Each team member we've engaged with has been super friendly. We really appreciated the great service.
