This pub has great reviews so here we are on our travels, everything was perfect, lucky us it was steak night.. Just be aware you need to order dinner by around 8pm. They were fully cleaned down at the bar and float all counted by 8:31pm. They also advertised on Google they close at 9pm so we were aware..being from Qld and a city we aren’t use to this rush.. All the same probs best to eat earlier…

Went here on a recent trip to the area and was feeling like a steak. Glad I stopped to try this place. There a nice cosy feeling once you enter. Was met with a friendly staff member who handed over a menu. A good variety on offer but as stated before....steak was on my mind. So I ordered the 300gm Scotch Fillet with Chips & Salad and with a pint of larger it came to under $60. Very reasonable by todays standard but even more so as they steak was cooked exactly as requested (and perfectly), fresh salad and crispy chips. All hit the spot. Inside the place looked super clean, airy and very welcoming. Plenty of parking nearby making it convenient. Would definitely drink a few here if I stayed in Launceston over night as I feel the atmosphere would be quite laid back.

Lovely people and great food, I in particular had a margarita pizza(their pizza is only in one size) and my drink was pineapple juice. This is a pic of the last pieces of pizza left. my friend had garlic prawns and mashed potatoes and they say it was beautiful and they were happy to say they could taste the garlic and the sauce was creamy(I’ll take their word for it as I’m allergic to prawns).

Ordered the salmon Bruschetta which was perfectly done. Also had the spinach salad with grilled chicken and porterhouse steak with vegetables. Simply 😋.

I hadn't been here for many years for a dine in experience. I was very happy with the fast service, and food available for dietary requirements. I absolutely loved the vegan parmy with chips and veggies (minus mash potatoes, due to containing animal products.) The serving was plenty - I had to ask my partner to help finish the chips!, tasted fresh and cooked to the right temperature. My partner had a chicken parmy with chips and salad and they enjoyed theirs as well. The beers were nice and cold and we had a good little conversation with one of the brothers who runs the place. The renovated pub looks great, cosy and warm. Was really nice to head down to a pub where my partner and I could enjoy a meal together. Thank you Plough x
