We could not have been happier with the service we received today from Curtis and his workmate. They arrived on time, worked quickly, were very knowledgeable. Finished installing our new AC unit in 3 hours. Curtis took the time to saw us how to then use our new thermostat and AC Unit. The Advantage Plan with Service Experts is the way to go.
Technician came out on-time and did an excellent diagnostic evaluation gave recommendations, genuinely took his time and explained everything! This is a wonderful person first and foremost and an excellent service Technician. Mr. Patrick is HIGHLY EXPERIENCED and his work speaks for itself. Thank you. Thank you! When the need arises I will call Service Experts heating , AC and Plumbing for help.
A mostly dishonest company that can do decent work but don't take their word for it. Would do business with them cautiously. Here is our story. I withheld reviewing for a while because I wasn't sure if it was just me or not. It was not me. This winter I had my heating system fail. I had multiple visits to fix, with different diagnosis, and them ultimately giving up on repair. The unit is out of warranty, so it was not unreasonable to get a new system. They were able to come out quickly each time and 3/4 times got my system working for a little while until it failed again. I tried to get it repaired but the part needed was on backorder with no recovery date. I waited as long as I could but needed a new system now. Part of the install was sold to me as improving air flow to help even out the upstairs and downstairs, and addressing moisture in my supply plenum. Quotes came in to address this. Curiously, I was almost sold an inferior system for the same price as I believe the sales rep forgot they quoted me a superior system already when they first visited. When I asked suddenly they "found another match" and upgraded a unit in the quote. This was the first sign of dishonesty. They sold me a combination which was supposed to quote "tune like a guitar." They were supposed to adjust vent dampers. None of these things were true. The installers themselves told me the unit was actually barely tunable at all and mostly adjusted itself. They did not adjust the dampers and told me to call back about it. The install otherwise seemed well done. At the end of the install I wanted to see standard documentation for static pressure and refrigerant line prep. I did not get anything until pressuring to withhold payment. What I "got" was 2 pictures that didn't tell me anything. To date I have no evidence that the refrigerant lines were correctly vacuumed and dryed. Given their lies to me (more to come) I have to believe it wasn't. They did at least eventually send a tech out to give me temperature rise numbers and pressure. The install was a mix of Lennox furnace and Bosh coil/outdoor unit. I was concerned about the mix and my sales rep assured me they would be matched and certified. Weeks go by and despite asking every week I never receive a certificate of matching. Finally the rep admits he can't get me the cert because actually they aren't certified match. This would be a lie if it wasn't actually just incompetence. I did some research, as anyone with a phone can, and found that the match is actually between the coil and the unit. Both Bosch. The only issue is I was sold a 5 ton outdoor unit with a 4 ton coil. This can be okay but the outdoor unit has to be switched a certain way to be matched and run efficiently. So I call to get it switched. On the day of the appointment the tech calls me and refuses to come because he says everything is already set correctly, despite not knowing what the switch is that I'm talking about (I'm referencing the manual). Okay. Given my mixed experience so far I decided to check myself. Lo and behold, it is NOT set correctly (see pic - the J2 switch should be off for a 4 ton coil). Another lie. This was the last straw for me. Proceed with caution!
Daniel and Youseff from Service Experts conducted a maintenance check on my heating system and installed a new, more efficient UV air treatment system. These gentlemen were excellent! They were very professional and clearly explained all the maintenance procedures and thoroughly answered my questions. They took time to clearly identify multiple payments options, giving me sufficient time to think and make a payment decision that was beneficial to me. These professionals were courteous, friendly and were absolutely non-intrusive. I was so impressed that I plan to request them to attend to my future HVAC maintenance and any necessary repairs.
Service experts used to be very reliable. Now they have gone downhill. They cancel repeatedly, with little to no warning, and don't give you the checkups and other service you pay for. This has been a growing problem for the last few years. Despite being loyal members, they keep doing it. I would advise looking elsewhere.
