Donnie from Solar Bear came out today and made sure my system was fully activated and running correctly. He verified everything was connected and working in the Q.Ommand app, and he also checked the hardware side, including the electrical and electronics, to confirm everything was communicating and operating as it should. Super professional, thorough, and answered all my questions. Shoutout to Donnie and Justin for taking customer satisfaction seriously and making sure everything was handled the right way!

I strongly caution anyone considering Solar Bear to carefully evaluate their decision before signing a contract. I have been a customer for over a year and a half and the solar system that was installed has consistently underperformed based on the production levels outlined in my contract. When I raised this issue, Solar Bear acknowledged the problem and committed to adding additional panels at no charge to make up for the shortfall. That commitment was never fulfilled. After following up extensively, they then offered an alternative resolution which included trimming nearby palms that were contributing to the shading issue and issuing a refund for the out-of-pocket expenses I paid to Duke Energy over the past year and a half as a direct result of the system's underperformance. Despite agreeing to this resolution, I have not heard back from them in over a month. I have made multiple attempts to follow up via calls, texts, and emails with no response whatsoever. I have now escalated this matter and am in the process of filing formal complaints with the Florida Attorney General's Office and the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. I own several businesses and have worked with many vendors over the years. Solar Bear has been, without question, one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered. If you are considering using this company, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere and protecting yourself from the same frustration I have experienced. - Kyle

Solar installation was fantastic, and giving me even more power than they estimated. They even gave me a discount because they promised one service but weren't able to deliver on. My first electric bill came in from an entire month of using solar: $16.24!!! That's the minimum amount. Basically no charge at all for electricity. The charge was the basic service fee, and taxes (in fact there was overage, so at the end of the year I should get a discount from the electric company). My only regret is that I didn't call them sooner!

If I could give 100 stars, I would. Everyone has been wonderful. Justin was fantastic, he was patient as he worked with us to get the best solar panels specifically designed for us. He walked us through all the paperwork, along with his knowledgeable and kind staff. They got the permits for us and were immediately available for any questions we had. Hugo has been attentive and professional and available to us at any time of day. The installers were efficient and had the job done quickly. They were respectful and made sure the area was clean when they finished. We are very happy with the production of our panels, I only wished we had done this sooner!

SOLAR SCAM! STAY AWAY! RUN! This is actually the third time I have placed a review regarding Solar Bear & their partner Good Leap. I removed the first two reviews after speaking with Blake, the owner of Solar Bear, who made promisses to correct issues, assist with insurance as well as adding panels to cover the power bill that I was still having to pay. All of those promisses have fallen as unfulfilled and empty. We entered into an agreement and had a solar system installed on our home September of 2020. All of our panels were to be installed on the southern facing roof panel of our home. Ultimately, one row was installed on the Northern facing side of our roof. After the system was also evaluated by our local power company, SECO, the system was found to be inadequate to completely replace our monthly power bill. Our loan with Solar Bear's partner Goodleap, was to be a 20 year loan which would mature in September of 2040 if we used the entire 20 years to pay. It is now 2026 and our acccount with Goodleap is not set to mature until 2046, another 20 years from today. Also, our principal balance is not decreasing with the almost 6 years of payments that have been made. Solar Bear never mentioned to us that we would be required, by the power company, to maintain a $1M liability insurance policy in addition to our normal homeowners insurance. That $1M policy costs us an additional $938 per year to maintain. We held back payments in April, May and June of this year trying to negotiate with Goodleap as Solar Bear had only provided empty promisses. Rather than working with us to assist, Goodleap turned off the production of our system. Payment was made in full on 6/27/2026 to Goodleap to bring the account current. Goodleap has yet to reconnect our production. Therefore, we are still paying a monthly payment to Goodleap as well as a $370+ montly power bill to the utility company. This was never supposed to be this difficult and was supposed to make life easier and more cost effective. I do not recommend solar to anyone for their home and I definitely recommend against dealing with Solar Bear LLC for any purposes at all. It's amazing that they have so many 5 star reviews. They are finally getting 1 star reviews and people are no longer removing them. This review will not be removed until my contract with Solar Bear LLC and Goodleap are cancelled and the panels removed from my home and my roof is sealed. Want it gone Blake, now you know what you need to do. No more empty promisses.
