We live in central Alabama and came to North Stars first intensive therapy camp for apraxia (one week) and can not say enough. Ms Kim was absolutely fantastic with my daughter and was truly such a blessing to us. We got many updates & tools to help after leaving. I feel like every kid in speech need a Ms Kim in their lives. I’m sad we don’t live closer but we are so glad we were able to make it to camp. Highly recommend Ms Kim to any and everyone looking for a SLP especially if your kiddo has apraxia!! She’s listed in Apraxia Kids Website and knows all the specific therapy methods that actually work and support them long term.

So thankful to have found Kim at North Star Pediatric Speech Therapy. My daughter has been in speech therapy since she was a year and a half and after multiple speech therapists with little to no progress we finally found Kim. After 1 month we saw progress and consistency with my daughter’s speech. Kim provided us with a detailed evaluation which really helped her and myself understand what struggles my daughter was having. She truly cares about what your child needs and wants to figure out how to help your child progress. Her sessions were individualized specifically to meet my daughter’s needs.

Kim was an outstanding speech therapist for our son. If she didn’t have the answer right away, she found it. She took the time not only to identify his speech needs, but also to understand who he was as a person. She truly connected with him. Kim was professional, unbelievably kind, thorough, and consistently went above and beyond. We are so grateful for the care and dedication she brought to every session.

I highly recommend Ms. Kim for speech therapy services. As a parent, I was looking for help with my child’s speech and language development. The consultation and subsequent coaching sessions we received were invaluable. Ms. Kim gave us clear guidance and advice that was knowledgeable and practical. There is so much information out there about child development that it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Ms. Kim was able to explain things in a way that just made sense. She gave us great strategies that helped us support our child’s development at home and provided the steps for moving forward with different therapies if needed later on. If you're looking for a skilled and caring speech therapist, I can't recommend Ms. Kim enough.

Kim is an amazing human. Genuinely passionate about what she does and making an impact in children's lives. First time we spoke, she took the time to educate me about the challenges my child was experiencing and gave the appropriate recommendation. It is hard to find therapists who are experienced and also kind.
