Not a positive experience for my seller or for me. There were too many people working on the file and it was difficult to differentiate who was the correct contact person. Documents that had already been provided were requested again. Lots of mistakes were made and this was troubling to my client. The day after closing, the title company realized there were 3 missing documents that were left out of the closing docs. My client had to have them signed & notarized quickly and sent back to them. My client signed a HUD statement at her closing only to receive a different settlement statement the day after her closing because the title company left off one of the fees. Patten didn't notify me of the issue but sent a Docu-Sign directly to my client requesting a signature. My client reached out to me to let me know. It's very important for a title company to include an agent when things like this happen. My client expressed a distrust and frustration with this title company. Patten Title did go back to the original settlement statement and waived the extra fee assuming responsibility for the error that they had made.
