My husband and I were in the process of signing a new house. Of course that day is suppose to be a delicate and exciting day for us. We were given a closing date which then was changed to a different date and we had to keep changing our plans to accommodate for their dates. When we were given our second date we made arrangements with work to be present. Again, last minute they notified us that the closing date had been moved due to missing paperwork from their end. It has been a very stressful process trying to have all the signatures and paperwork ready. It has definitely made us worry about our closing date and wonder why they keep on postponing the closing of the house. I would not recommend using StarTex Title and if we had to choose again we wouldn't choose them. Very unsatisfied.

I cannot in good conscience recommend StarTex title. They mishandled the transaction every step of the way. We did not receive closing documents in advance, which prolonged the closing. I found numerous errors in the closing documents. And perhaps most shocking, when I asked the title officer, Marol Brobisky, to explain a line item in one of the closing documents, she told me that the form was confusing and to just ignore it (despite her insistence that I sign the form). Finally, they incorrectly prepared the payoff statement for the wrong date, which resulted in my having to pay additional interest on the loan even though they had money in hand to pay the loan in full. When I pointed out this error, Ms. Brobisky refused to correct it. These errors ultimately resulted in me not receiving the closing disbursement until the day after closing. Overall, working with StarTex title was a very disappointing process that could have been much easier had Ms. Brobisky performed her job with excellence.
