My family has worked with Paige several times over the years. She is highly knowledgeable and helpful in the trip planning process. I would recommend her to anyone looking to plan a trip. She is simply the best!
This review is based on the integrity of the business as a whole. I had a poor experience with an outside sales rep, Nikki Reynolds that was 100% rectified by the owner in an A+ manner My sister-in-law was originally making travel arrangements with Nikki to handle a group block for her upcoming wedding in Mexico, but due to her being slow with information and having a higher than expected deposit, my sister-in-law informed her that she was taking her business elsewhere. Being unaware of this, I contacted Nikki to make our travel arrangements. Nikki made no mention of basically being fired by my sister-in-law and took my deposit. After I realized what had happened, I was refunded all but a $50 cancellation fee. Nikki was incredibly rude when I insisted that I should not be charged a cancellation fee after she was not forthcoming with me. I contacted Lee McCarthy, the owner of Mad Travel, who was incredibly helpful and apologetic about his employee's behavior. He assured me this is not her typical behavior and within a few days, I received a $50 check from him. Companies unfortunately get a bad rap for individual employees having bad days, which is unfair. I would definitely do business with Mad Travel in the future knowing the high level of integrity they have.
Lee and Paige at Mad Travel are the best! We have done multiple trips planned by them and every single one has been above and beyond our expectations. We have never been disappointed in the locations and hotels they have suggested and we will continue to travel with them in the future. They are also amazing at planning big family vacations!
I highly recommend MAD Travel / Travel Leaders to help anyone book flights, rebook cancelled trips, assist with travel insurance etc.
